Administrative tasks

Director of the Neurosurgery Clinic of the University of Patras 12/2018 to date. During the last two years, the equipment of the clinic was added A. Video microscope recorder for storing the procedures for postoperative analysis and training. Β. New neurosurgery table. Γ. New modern lighting was installed in the operating room. D. A new modern intraoperative 0-arm CT scanner system (the first of its kind in a state hospital in Greece) was received as a donation. E. Surgical field projection screens were installed in the operating room to facilitate the accessibility of students and upgrade the educational work of the clinic.

In addition, in the context of upgrading the education of students and residents and doctoral candidates of the department, I organized in 2020 the experimental neurosurgery laboratory in the clinical operations building. The lab includes Mayfield system, Zeiss microscope, microsurgery tools, Anspach High Speed Drill etc. In collaboration with the postgraduate training programme 'Diseases of the nose, skull base and personal country' we supplied cadaveric skulls and performed a number of procedures for educational purposes. In addition, a reading room and a presentation room with a wealth of new neurosurgery books and models were created.

Since 23/10/2009 I periodically acted as Deputy Director of the University Neurosurgery Clinic at the University Hospital of Patras in case of absence of the Director, Professor Konstantinos Dimitris (protocol document 511/23-10-09 to the Administration of the University Hospital of Patras). Within the framework of these duties I participated in various meetings of the Board of Directors of the University Hospital of Patras with issues concerning the operation of the operating rooms, the list of surgical procedures, the settlement of problems related to the neurosurgical clinic, etc.
I acted as deputy to Professor Konstantinos of the Department of Neurosurgery on the committee for the neurosurgery specialty working group, on the training committee of the CSCS (2018).
